How Does it work?

The OxyGeneo® technology is based on a physiological response of the body to high levels of CO2.

When the body senses high levels of CO2 in a certain tissue (for example, in the muscles after workout), it immediately reacts to restore the balance. The response can be divided into three steps:

1.More O2-rich blood will flow to the area of high CO2 levels.

2.O2 will be much more easily released from red blood cells in the area of high CO2 levels.

3.Free red blood cells will remove excessive CO2 from the area through the respiratory system.

In other words, a temporary increase in the CO2 levels leads to

natural tissue oxygenation from within the body.

This physiological response was first described in 1904 by a Danish physiologist

named Christian Bohr. Today it is known as the BOHR EFFECT.

Duration

riPollar® treatments involve zero downtime and generally do not require any special post-treatment care regime.

After the treatment, remove the remaining gel with lukewarm water. Clean the electrodes with dry cloth and disinfect with 70% alcohol wipes. Do NOT submerge the electrodes in any liquid.

You may apply topical products to soothe the skin. We recommend the ReadyMedical Hyaluronic Acid + Growth Factors for enhanced results.

Erythema is expected to fade during the next 24 hours. If the skin remains excessively red and swollen 48 hours after the treatment, refer the patient to her/his treating physician.

The immediate skin tightening (“Cinderella effect”) is expected to last 24-48 hours after the treatment.

Long term results will last several months, depending mostly on age and lifestyle. Inform your patient that results are most noticeable 1-2 months after the last session.
